The studio is led by a Black American ceramicist and Muslim multidisciplinary athlete whose work moves between material practice, discipline, and controlled release.

Prior to founding the studio, they competed at national and international levels, earning multiple national titles, international podium placement, and repeated leadership appointments as team captain. Their athletic career includes record-setting performance and sustained participation at the highest tiers of competition.

They are an alumnus of Albion College and the founder of an independent ceramic studio engaged in object production and painting distribution. The studio’s work translates physical discipline and cultural lineage into limited wearable and sculptural forms.
